Band Donations

Band fees are necessary to provide the funding for many items for the students and band program.  The Band Fees only provide a third of the budgeted amount needed for each student.  The remaining budget comes from donations and fundraisers throughout the year. 

The Band Parent Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group.  Therefore, donations are tax deductible.  Any donations to the Band are appreciated and help keep expenses low for the students.  Please contact any of the Band Parent Association Officers if you wish to see any of the documentation regarding the Association's nonprofit status.

The Madison Consolidated High School Marching Cubs Band Boosters is a nonprofit organization and now offers PayPal as another way to pay your student's band fees or make a donation. The booster club is a PayPal verified organization.

To pay with PayPal:

  1. Click the button at the bottom of this page to take you to our PayPal page.
  2. Enter the amount of the donation minus 3%. The Association must charge a 3% processing fee.  Thus, if you wish to donate $100, you may wish to place a $97 donation.  The total charge to your credit card or Paypal account would then be $99.91.
  3. Click 'Update Totals' to save what you entered. An e-mail will be sent by PayPal notifying us that you have sent the donation.
  4. If you have a PayPal account, login and continue the transaction with your saved information. You do not have to set up an account to send a payment.
  5. If you do not want a PayPal account, click 'Continue' under 'Don't have a PayPal account?' to enter your payment information.
  6. An email confirmation will be sent to the webmaster, the treasurer and the account coordinator of the Band Parent Association, as well as yourself.  Your credit card statement and that email will be your receipt.

Supporters can pay with a check.  This method is the lowest cost to the family, as there are no extra charges that we have with PayPal.  The check may be given to the Band Director, Treasurer or the President of the Association.  Any donation over $250 will be confirmed with a receipt or letter.   If you need a receipt or letter confirming a donation of a lesser amount, please note that.

By Material, Gas, Mileage, Services, etc.

Many parents and supporters provide materials, gas, mileage, services and other items of value to the band throughout the year.  If you do so and wish to have a receipt or letter confirming such donations, please collect those receipts and notes and provide a summary to the Band Director, Treasurer or President at the end of the calendar year and at the end or the band budget year (April 30).
