Food items needed for each Competition in order to feed the students during marching season:

8th Graders - 4 Boxes of Little Debbie Snacks and 1 (15 oz.) Bag of Traditional Chex Mix

9th Graders - 1 (24 count) Case of Water (20 oz. bottles) and 3 (12 count) Packages of Cheese Sandwich Crackers

10th Graders - 1 (24 count) Case of Water (20 oz. bottles) and 2 (15 oz.) Bags of Traditional Chex Mix

11th Graders - 1 (24 count) Case of Water (20 oz. bottles), 1 (15 oz.) Bag of Cheese Chex Mix and 1 Large Bag Plain M&M's

12th Graders - 3 Large Bags Plain M&M's and 1 (15 oz.) Bag of Cheese Chex Mix

Guard - 1 (24 count) Case of Water (20 oz. bottles) and 3 (12 count) Packages of Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers

7:00am – Rehearsal at high school
11:00am – Eat lunch and load trailer
Be sure you have everything you need for the entire day.
12:00pm – Depart MCHS
2:20pm – Arrive and check-in
3:00pm – Warm-up
4:00pm – Performance
5:15pm – Prelims Awards

IF WE MAKE FINALS WE WILL FOLLOW THE FINALS SCHEDULE, IF NOT, WE WILL FOLLOW THIS SCHEDULE:
6:00pm – Depart for Madison
7:30pm – ETA back at MCHS
(EVERYBODY HELPS UNLOAD THE TRAILER)

FINALS SCHEDULE
WARM UP - SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 6 AND 8:15PM
PERFORM - SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 7 AND 9:15PM (ALL DEPENDS ON OUR DRAW)
AWARDS – 9:45PM
10:15pm – Depart for Madison
12:00am – ETA at MCHS
(EVERYBODY HELPS UNLOAD THE TRAILER)

JUST DO YOUR BEST AND LET THE SCORES TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES. I AM PROUD OF ALL OF YOUR EFFORTS THIS SEASON. THIS IS OUR LAST PERFORMANCE TOGETHER, SO MOST IMPORTANTLY, HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH IT! BE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO STAY WARM!!!! IT’S GOING TO BE A COLD ONE!!!

Families Reducing Fees with Kroger Card

Band students save over $120 in band fees through the Kroger Gift Card program.
One family has saved over $40!! There are cards getting recharged that are not associated with a student.
If your family has one and has not sent in the number, please do so.

After the start of school, "statements" will go out to each student who has a card associated with their name.
If your student has a card and you do not see a statement in the first 30 days, please contact Tim or Erixana Brooks.

The band recieved their first kickback from Krogers. A $280 check, most of which will go to reduce future band fees.

Remember, recharge the Kroger Cards!!

Scrip Continues to Pay!!

Since the start of the 2005 school year, supporters, parents and students have made over $1200 using scrip cards.
Twice each month, about 5 to 7 families order scrip cards. Each family brings in about $10 profit to the band when
they use the cards for gas, clothes, home improvements and eating out - all money they would spend anyway.

If we could get 50 t0 70 families using scrip, the band could see more than $1000 a month profit.!!

Think of how low your band fees would get if every family participated.

Cookbooks for Sale!

The Madison Bands have received some cookbooks that we will be selling for $5 each. These cookbooks were a donation to the band and all of the proceeds will benefit the band! It is a 55 page cookbook called “Treasured Recipes” consisting of many hometown favorites and maybe some new things for you to try! There are copies available in the band room if you would like to take a look before you buy. You can also send this form to school (with payment) and the students will bring them home.
