Band FeesBand fees are necessary to provide the funding for many items for the students and band program. The Band Fees only provide a third of the budgeted amount needed for each student. The remaining budget comes from donations and fundraisers throughout the year. The Band Parent Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group. Therefore, donations are tax deductible. There are some opinions that Band Fees are also deductible, but each family should consult with their tax advisor to clarify their own situation.
